Mito engine noise

Hi guys,

I need your help with my Mito Multi Air Turbo 1.4 135hp (2009, 111500 km now). In about 2 months it has rattle / whistle noise, especially interior or in quite street after 1400rpm till 3000rpm (i think). I was at 2 dealers and they sad that it is multiair malfunction and need to be replaced, new unit costs 1000+ EUR. Now i had no problems with acceleration nor with overall performance, please advice if someone had same issue

Sounds like the sound of a obstructed hydraulic tappet to me, so it's very likely that the problem is in the Multiair module. Maybe before changing the whole module I would try to get the tappets cleaned.
