Wow, the main title of the reel is “influencer become an engineer looking a chain for the first time”.
Very interestings also the comment too, when the influencer and his followers says the engine is a modified puretech; they think to put shit on PSA.
Really do you think FCA engineers are so idiots to be demistified by an influencer that is looking a timing chain for the first time?
They sound like the ones who say that airplanes are fragile because they say the rivets.
How can you see by eye if a material is brittle?
Once time ago only idiots at pub can judge everything by eye, now they are on socials.

It is too thin chain (same 7mm width have small motorcycle engine 300-400ccm)… yes they are because fca save money and on the end final customers have junk and broken engine after 40k bill for Car which will not survive more than 50k km on timing chain

PSA 1.5 BlueHDI hs a 7mm timing chain, it's a 130cv diesel. How many PSA diesels engine have been sold in last ten years? All broken before 50k km? In the last engine they change from 7mm to 8mm because they have some problems, it's true. And they modifing monitoring

I think also on Ford Ecoboost 1.5 there is a 7mm chain, but I'm not sure. I don't work on spares and I'm not an "eye engineer"

Maybe someone have to write on mechanicals engineers books that a timing chain must be always > 7mm.

The proof was on a social, by an "eye engineer".

1,5bluehdi is not mhev with 100starts per hour… this is reason why chain in mhev 1.5 is ko after less km… chain for Tonale is Morse type 15class material but dimensions are thin chain is too long for this width and engine is working in millers cycle which have more torse vibration… i don’t know if you will believe but i told it several times. I’m engineer and I’m working in automotive…
